Much Potential For Wrestlers at Dana

by Tyler Zach

Today I took on a faith-sharing endeavor at Dana college with my co-worker/mentor Demarick. We went through some surveys that the students had filled out a couple of weeks ago and tried to set up some appointments.

It was a good opportunity to step out in faith and share the gospel with students we didn't know. Interestingly, 4 of the 5 appointments that we had were with students on the wrestling team at Dana. One of the students has actually been growing in his faith but has never led a bible/spiritual study. Demarick presented the challenge of leading a bible study to him right there. He accepted and was immediately put through a mini-training session on leading a small group.

Two of the other wreslters, Jordan and John, said that they had come from a Christian background - but, both couldn't clearly explain how to become a Christian. So we walked through the gospel together. I also presented my testimony to them and encouraged them to not put off seeking God and getting into a godly community right away - a mistake that I had made.

How ironic it is that we met all these wrestlers today and that one of them stepped up to lead a bible study. We are excited about what God is going to do among the wrestling team there.

PLEASE PRAY that God would reveal himself to the rest of the team and that he would equip the right leaders to lead the team well spiritually!
